Journal of Clinical Rheumatology in Ayurveda is peer reviewed Semiannual journal published by The Ayurvedic Trust, Coimbatore, India. The journal publishes clinical and clinically relevant original papers, case reports, review articles, research communications and editorials pertaining to the field of Rheumatology in Ayurveda.
Journal of Clinical Rheumatology in Ayurveda (JCRA), is the Journal devoted exclusively to a clinical specialty area in the field of Ayurveda. The launch of this Journal is inspired and supported by the Center of Excellence Grant awarded by the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The new Journal from The Ayurvedic Trust is yet another milestone in three decades of its activity in scientific communication and publishing. The Ancient Science of Life, a multidisciplinary research journal published by The Ayurvedic Trust is the first journal in the field to go completely online and offers free access to archives of all its back issues. The JCRA adopts delayed open access policy and authors are free to archive it six months after publication.

The Ayurvedic Trust was established in 1950. It is the philanthropic wing of AVP Group of Institutions. The Trust has been promoting Ayurvedic Research right from its inception and the Hospital associated with it has evolved into a referral center for Rheumatology in Ayurveda. In 1976, Trust had signed an agreement with World Health Organization (WHO) and Indian Council for Medical Research for Clinical Research in Rheumatoid Arthritis. In 2003, National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA awarded PICRC Research Grant to the Ayurvedic Trust through the University of Washington to study Ayurveda in Rheumatoid Arthritis. Both these initiatives were first of its kind activities in the field of Ayurveda.
The Ayurvedic Trust, has now received the Center of Excellence grant from the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India as a Clinical Research Hospital specializing in Rheumatology.
